Legal / Cobblo: Bristol Stool & Poop Log
Privacy policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how onething.tools (“Cobblo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Cobblo mobile application (the “App”).
In short: Cobblo has no account, and your log stays on your device. We do not receive it.
1. Who is responsible for your information
The responsible entity is onething.tools. Contact: [email protected].
2. What Cobblo stores on your device
Cobblo is a personal log. When you add an entry, the App stores the following in a local database on your device:
- Bristol stool type
- Date and time
- Color
- Urgency
- Discomfort
- Tags
- Notes
This is health-related information, so we treat it as sensitive. It is stored only on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. We have no server that holds it and no copy of it.
3. No account, no analytics, no ads
Cobblo does not ask you to create an account. It has no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. It uses no third-party SDKs except Apple’s in-app purchase system through RevenueCat, described below.
4. Purchases (RevenueCat)
Cobblo Pro is bought through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and does not share your payment details with us. To unlock Pro, Cobblo uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat processes your purchase and subscription status and a random anonymous app user ID. It does not receive your log entries. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
5. Exports
CSV and PDF exports are created on your device. They are shared only where you choose, using the iOS share sheet. Once you share a file, the app or person you share it with handles it under their own policies.
6. Reminders
Daily reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They are not sent through a server. The notification text is generic (“Daily check-in”) and does not show any of your log data. You can turn reminders off in the App or in iOS Settings.
Web version, optional “Reliable reminders”: if you use the web version of Cobblo (added to your Home Screen) and turn this on, your browser gives us a push address for this device and Cobblo sends us the times of your upcoming daily reminders. Our server (onething.tools) uses them only to wake Cobblo at those times through Apple’s, Google’s, or Mozilla’s push service. The push contains no text; Cobblo shows its usual “Daily check-in”. We never receive your log. It is off by default; turning it off, or turning reminders off, deletes the push address and times from our server. In the web version, your log is stored in your browser’s storage (IndexedDB) on your device.
7. Deleting your data
Go to Settings > Delete all data in the App, or delete the App. Because we hold no copy, nothing remains with us to delete. Device backups may retain data under your device settings.
8. Children
Cobblo is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Security
Your log is protected by your device and operating system. No storage method is completely secure, so keep your device and its passcode secure.
10. Not medical advice
Cobblo is a personal log, not medical advice. It doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. For health concerns, talk to a doctor.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Cobblo or legal requirements change. The revised version will show a new “Last updated” date. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
