Terms of use.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Desklings. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The service

Desklings is a focus timer with desk companions, tasks, ambient sounds, and a garden that grows as you focus. It is a personal productivity tool, not medical, psychological, or professional advice. Timer reminders and notifications depend on your device and settings and may not always arrive on time.

2. Eligibility and acceptable use

You may use Desklings only if legally able to agree to these Terms and in compliance with applicable law. You must not use the App unlawfully, harm another person, interfere with or reverse engineer it, gain unauthorized access, or introduce malicious code.

3. Your content

You retain responsibility for the tasks, notes, and other content you enter. Because Desklings stores content locally and does not provide cloud sync, deleting the App or its data removes your history, coins, and unlocks.

4. Coins and unlocks

Coins are earned by focusing and can be spent on companions and looks inside the App. Café, library, nature, and night-train scenes need Desklings Pro (section 5). Coins have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, or transferred, and may be adjusted if the App changes, for example when an item is redesigned.

5. Desklings Pro

Desklings is free to use. Desklings Pro unlocks extra scenes and sounds. It is offered as an auto-renewing weekly subscription, which may begin with a free trial for eligible new subscribers, and as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App before you buy and are charged to your Apple ID.

A subscription renews automatically each week unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, you are charged for the first period. Manage or cancel in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Use “Restore purchases” in the paywall or Settings to get Pro back on a new device signed in to the same Apple ID. Apple’s standard end user license agreement for apps also applies.

6. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control. The App, its design, characters, artwork, sounds, software, trademarks, and other materials remain the property of onething.tools or its licensors.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of Desklings. We do not promise that the App will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device, or preserve every setting.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Desklings is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing limits a warranty or consumer right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, onething.tools will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data, arising from the App. Total liability for claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App during the 12 months before the event, or €0 if you paid nothing. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Desklings at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or when required by law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any dispute will be handled by a court with appropriate jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Nothing removes protections you have under the laws of your country of residence.
