Legal / Pebblet: One Task Jar
Privacy policy.
This Privacy Policy explains how onething.tools (“Pebblet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Pebblet mobile application (the “App”).
1. Who is responsible for your information
The data controller or equivalent responsible entity is:
onething.tools
[email protected]
2. Information Pebblet handles
Information you enter
Pebblet is a task jar that picks one task that fits your free time. It keeps the tasks you add (names and durations), the history of tasks you finished or stopped, a running timer, and preferences such as theme, jar style, and reminders.
This information is stored locally on your device in the App’s database. Pebblet does not require an account, has no server of its own, does not provide cloud synchronization, and does not send your tasks or history to us.
Calendar access
If you allow it, Pebblet reads events from the calendars you choose to work out how much free time you have before your next event and to show today’s timeline. Calendar events are read on your device only. They are not stored by the App, changed, or sent to us or anyone else. You can turn calendar access off at any time in iOS Settings.
Device permissions and technical information
Pebblet does not need contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera. If you allow it, Pebblet schedules local notifications, for example when a task’s time is up; they are scheduled on your device and not sent through a server. Pebblet may use haptic feedback. The operating system and app stores may process technical information needed to install, secure, update, and operate the App under their own policies.
Purchases
Pebblet Plus is a one-time purchase made through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment and does not share your payment details with us. To tell whether Plus is active, Pebblet uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous app user ID, your purchase status and receipts, and basic device and technical information such as the device model, operating system version, and IP address. It does not receive your tasks, history, or calendar, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain Pebblet; suggest a task that fits your free time; show today’s timeline; save your tasks, history, and preferences on your device; schedule reminders; confirm whether Pebblet Plus is active and restore purchases; and respond to support requests.
Pebblet does not use advertising networks or third-party analytics and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The only network requests the App makes are to RevenueCat to check and restore purchases.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information and do not receive the information stored in the App. We may disclose limited information you send us directly, such as a support email, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Pebblet, users, or others.
5. Retention and deletion
Your information remains in the local database until you delete it in the App, delete the App’s data, or uninstall the App. Device backups may retain data under your device settings. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
6. Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke calendar and notification access in iOS Settings, delete tasks and history, and contact us about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or other rights under local law. Where applicable, you may complain to your local data-protection authority.
7. Children
Pebblet is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information, and the App does not send children’s personal information to us.
8. Security
Local data is protected by your device and operating system. No storage method is completely secure; keep your device credentials secure.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Pebblet or legal requirements change. The revised version will show a new “Last updated” date. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
