How a monthly bill organizer works

Most bills repeat on the same day every month, so a bill organizer only needs three things per bill: a name, an amount and a due day. Enter them once and the calendar repeats them for every month. Flip to next month to see what is coming before it arrives.

Plan bills by paycheck, not by calendar month

Your money arrives on paydays, not on the 1st. Grouping bills under the paycheck that covers them shows which paycheck is tight and which has room. If you are paid every two weeks, rent and the car payment often land on the same paycheck, so that one runs short while the other does not. Add your take-home pay and the "left" amount per paycheck shows it immediately.

        Frequently asked questions

How do I use a bill calendar?

List each bill with the day of the month it is due. The calendar puts every bill on its due date, shows what is due this month in total, and flags your paydays so you can see which paycheck pays for what.

How does the calculator decide which paycheck covers a bill?

Each bill is assigned to the most recent payday on or before its due date, because that is the paycheck you have in hand when the bill comes due. A paycheck on the 30th therefore covers bills due on the 31st and the next month's 1st through the day before the next payday.

What if a bill is due on the 31st but the month is shorter?

The bill moves to the last day of that month. A bill set to the 31st is due February 28 (or 29 in a leap year) and April 30.

Can I print my bill calendar?

Yes. Use the print button to print the month or save it as a PDF from your browser's print dialog. The form and extra text are hidden, so the page prints the calendar and the bill list only.

Does it remind me when a bill is due?

Download the month as a calendar (.ics) file and open it in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook. Each bill gets an all-day event with an alert the day before. A phone app like Billday can send reminders automatically.

        Are my bills saved?

Your bills stay in this browser on this device so they are here when you come back. Nothing is uploaded to a server. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Is this a bill tracker or a bill organizer?

Both. It organizes your recurring bills by due date and paycheck. It does not record payments. To tick bills off as paid, you need an app that keeps history.
