Terms of use

These terms cover your use of ScopePad, a free web app provided by onething.tools in Germany. By using ScopePad you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app. Questions: [email protected].

The service and price

ScopePad helps you create estimates, invoices and materials lists, record payments and manage clients and jobs. ScopePad is free to use, with no ScopePad subscription or payment required. You supply your own device, internet connection and, if you choose cloud sync, cloud account and storage allowance. Any charges for your internet or cloud storage are governed by your agreements with those providers.

Your work and responsibilities

You retain ownership of the content you enter. You are responsible for having permission to store and process client details, site photos and other information, including in any connected cloud account. Check prices, measurements, tax treatment, numbering, totals, payment records and exported documents before relying on them or sending them to someone else. ScopePad does not provide legal, tax, accounting or professional construction advice, and is not a payment processor or a party to your agreements with clients.

Local storage and backups

Your browser stores your work on your device. Clearing browser storage, losing the device, or storage failures can remove it. Keep independent exports of important work. We do not hold a server copy of your business content and cannot recover content that is no longer on your device or in your backup.

Optional Google Drive and OneDrive sync

You choose whether to connect a provider. Sync uses a private application folder in your own cloud account and requires your permission. Provider terms, storage limits, account restrictions and availability apply. Sync may pause when you are offline, permission expires or is revoked, or your storage is full. Concurrent edits to the same record can result in the newer version replacing an older version; review any conflict or duplicate-number notices. Sync is not a substitute for keeping independent backup files.

You can disconnect without deleting your local work or cloud copy. The app offers separate controls for deleting cloud data and local data. See the ScopePad privacy policy for details.

Acceptable use and license

Use ScopePad lawfully and only with accounts and content you are authorized to use. Do not use it to harm others, gain unauthorized access, disrupt services or introduce malicious software. We permit you to use ScopePad for your personal or business work. The app's software, branding and artwork remain the property of onething.tools or their respective licensors; these terms do not transfer their ownership to you.

Availability and liability

We may update or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or that every error or data conflict can be prevented. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is supplied as available without additional warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.

Stopping use and changes

You can stop using ScopePad at any time. Export any records you need and, if desired, delete your cloud copy and revoke provider access before clearing local data. Changes to these terms will be published here with an updated date. Mandatory rights under the laws that apply to you are unaffected.
