What information can a photo contain?
Photos can carry more than the pixels you see. Depending on the device, file type and app that created or edited the image, a file may include GPS coordinates, the date and time it was taken, the device or camera model, editing software, and creator information.
Metadata varies. Some apps remove some fields when they process an image, while an original file may preserve them. Checking the actual file is the safest way to know what is there.

Can someone find my location from a photo?
If the original file contains GPS coordinates, someone with access to that file may be able to read them. The visible image alone does not always reveal a precise location.
How do I remove location data from a photo?

Does removing metadata reduce photo quality?
