What should I hide before sharing a screenshot?
Consider whether the screenshot includes a full name, email address, phone number, home or work address, order number, QR code, account identifier, private message, notification preview or a face. Not every example is sensitive in every context — hide what you would not want a wider audience to see.
Solid redaction is the clearest choice when you need information fully hidden. Blur and pixelate are useful visual treatments, but they can be less definitive.

How do I blur part of a screenshot?
Add your screenshot, choose Blur, drag over the area to protect, and apply the edit. The exported image contains the blur itself.
How do I hide text in a screenshot?
Choose Hide and draw a rectangle over the text. Hide creates a solid redaction in the exported bitmap, so the original pixels are not underneath it.
Is blurring enough to hide information?
Blur makes information harder to read, but solid Hide is preferable when you need the content fully hidden.
